The Sandbar earrings balance graphic detail with quiet elegance. They feature a sculptural gold bar that adds a striking finish to the freshness of the green detailing. Lightweight to wear.

- 22kt gold plating (gold-lustre - hand-painted using the same technique used to decorate gold rimmed tea-cups).

Wear with greens, creams, navy, rust, terracotta. Perfect for adding a distinct accent to finish your outfit. Wear with a dress that features an element of green or a cream blazer or green knit.
Story:
This design was a happy outcome of a bad day. My youngest was a baby and after a sleepless night and the stress of running a small business came to a head, I gave up for the day with trying to chip away at jobs during naps and instead sat down with a sketchbook and a tv show. I was loosely inspired by the structured lines of a stone bridge and was compelled to find a way to harmonise colour, gold and a stone-like colour.
I love these earrings and to me they speak of longed for holidays and times of being present with no worry but what's right before you.

What makes it a second:
Tiny glaze bubbles or a hand-painted gold detail that’s gone a little off-track. The green lines sometimes have an imperfectly shaped line where they meet the gold bar. Difficult to spot when worn. Still beautiful, just not quite up to our usual firsts standard.
